We Have Been Busy

The Maetoll Gang has been busy in the show ring, field, and obedience ring.

Cody - Maetoll's Code to Foxbrooke, co- bred, co-owned, and handled by 12 year old Kristin Lawless has burned up the show ring in his career debut. Cody has taken 2 three point majors, one 5 point major, 2 bests of breed over a nice specials, and on the same day as his dam Ginger, earned his AKC Breed Championship from the bred-by class. Cody makes our 5th home bred Champion out of two litters. We are so proud of this young team and know they are going to be successful in everything they do. Cody is out of our girl Ginger's first litter sired by Piper, Ch Landew's Piper MacNeill.

Ginger - Ginger did it! Our girl earned her AKC Breed Championship at the Southern Indiana Kennel Club Dog Show. Ginger is the 4th pup out of our first litter to earn an AKC breed Championship and the third to earn the NSDTRC-USA Club Champioship. Back to the field.................

Jonas - Is spending his summer at camp Lakota Retrievers on the quest for his AKC Master Hunter title. He has a great start earning two passes so far. 3 more to go...............

Pilsen - Our boy Pilsen earned his 2nd novice obedience leg at the Southern Indiana Kennel Club show in Corydon IN. Out of a large class of 17 dogs, Pilsen earned his 2nd leg with a 4th place. Pilsen always keeps me on my toes and never gives me a dull moment in the ring.

2007 NSDTRC- USA National Specialty Results

Once again Maetoll had a wonderful National Specialty!!!

Annie - Out of a class of 9 girls and 8 boys our girl Annie came away with what we consider to be the most important award.......BEST HUNTING RETRIEVER!!! Thank you to respected judges Michael Faulkner and Doug Johnson for finding the quality in our veteran girl and showing everyone what a true working retriever looks like. Annie also earned a first place in her 20" Novice FAST class.

Pilsen - 4th place in his 16" Novice Fast Class.

Jonas - Out of a class of 8 boys, Jonas earned a 2nd place nod in the Hunting Retriever Dog line up. Special thanks to Kristin Lawless for taking the lead and making us all proud. Way to go!!!!

Sprite - Sprite is officially known as Maetoll's Naughty Sea Nymph TD and after the National can add a WC to that name. Sprite is owned, trained, and handled by Susan Norras. This is a great team and we know there will be more great things to come.

Maetoll would also like to congratulate some of our friends and family members on their great showing at the 2007 National.

Schooner - The sire of our newest girl Roxy, took home the title of Best in Specialty!!! Way to go Schooner, his owners Jeff and Deb Gibbs, his breeder Diana Semper, and handler Adam King. There was never a team more deserving of this win.

Piper - The sire of our last litter came away with a hand full of agility first places at a tender age of 10 years old!!! To show that he's still got in the breed ring Piper walked away with a first place in the 10 and over veteran dog class. WAY TO GO PIPER AND OWNER/HANDLER ELLEN JACKSON!!!!!

Kristin Lawless - Kristin made a fantastic showing at her first National. We are so proud to have this young girl as part of our team and look forward to all she has to contribute to this breed. We would also like to thank her family for their continued support and getting Kristin to the shows and always pitching in.
